Luminesa's Bedroom & Bathroom

Luminesa stumbled into the room that was the first door dead ahead after taking the stairs, swinging open the polished cherry oak slab that was furnished with a brass vine-like handle, stepping inside and slamming the door shut behind her, twisting her wrist to lock the door. Leaning her body back against the white slab of wood, she slinked down to the ground with her knees brought up to her chest. A soft, whimpering lilt came from her voice as her body trembled with different emotions, all of them coming out in unison on tears. She raised her hands to grip her head that was now hanging low, her silent crying forcing her to gasp loudly for air every other sob.

“Mne ochenʹ zhalʹ, mama, papa…”
(“Forgive me, mom, dad…”)

No attempt was made to listen if her brother had arrived home or not, but the sound of a door closing with a soft click downstairs caught her attention enough to lift her tear-ridden self to her feet, walk over to the bed that was on the other side, and let her body drop onto the downy-soft comforter. Her hands clenched the seafoam green silk threads as she continued crying, her tears slowly leaving the huntress a sniveling mess curled up on the top of her bed; her wintry white wolf ears and tail were tucked down and curled around her body, faintly quivering beneath the rays of moonlight that shone through the glass above.

Luminesa’s petite figure shifted slightly over the silken threads that covered the full-sized bed. Her eyes flickered open in a squint as she examined the room’s interior, her cheeks red and tear-stained. Her palms pressed into the mattress as she sat herself up on the bed to swing her legs off of the bed. Fluidly standing up and walking around the room, Luminesa eyed the beautiful potted pieces of foliage, enjoying their company enough to earn a smile from her lips. Making her way over to two frosted glass doors that were beside the entrance to the left, Luminesa’s thin fingers curled around the handle and naturally pushed forward to reveal a large, walk-in closet with every single piece of clothing that belonged her; even arranged by type, season, and color.

Curious to know more about the bedroom she’d thrown herself into that clearly seemed to be her own, Luminesa looked to the far wall of the closet, a wooden, cherry oak door in perfect view. Her eyes drifted behind her back for a moment before her feet took to the wooden door and through it, looking at a joyfully simple yet spacious bathroom. Satisfied with having found the room that belonged to her, she quickly stripped off her clothing and shoes, glancing to her flushed face a little ruefully.

She walked over in two smooth strides to the frostiest glass door, curling her fingers around the smooth and cold silver bar handle, pushing the door in to take in the view of a cute, lemon yellow interior, complete with a bathtub, a shower head, lights, a mirror, a rack for holding her current bath works, and a silver horizontal bar for holding a pastel yellow towel. Luminesa pushed the door shut and walked over to the shower head, curiously pushing a button that retaliated with a constant jet of scalding hot water. To most, this would have snapped them away from the pain, but for Luminesa, this was as relaxing as water got. She smiled and stood under the water fall with a whispery moan of leisure, her spine shivering as a furry tail and matching pair of ears appeared and flicked contentedly to the torrid downpour.

After relaxing herself, she picked up a bottle of body soap, snapping the top up and sniffing it; sweet lemon. She giggled and stepped away from the water, closing her eyes and lathering the luxurious soap onto her skin, moving gracefully about the shower room while letting her vocals hum a tune her mother used to sing.

“Mm~”

After what felt to be an hour, or enough time, Luminesa rinsed off all of the soap from her body and hair, pressing the same button she first pressed to cease the flow of hot water. She shook off the water that was trickling down her skin rapidly, taking a hold of the towel that was warm but dry and wrapping it around herself; the towel was a perfect fit. She pulled open the glass door and stepped out a little too quickly, earning her a slip and fall, only to be diverted by her hand shooting out to grab the outer handle of the door. She answered with a yelp as she straightened herself up and slowly walked over to stand in front of the mirror, drying her body and her hair off.

Luminesa walked into her closet, setting her towel on a matching silver bar like the one that was inside the shower room. She looked to her drawers and pulled out her undergarments, slipping them on, as well as a feathery soft long-sleeved nightgown. Taking in the full view of the closet with a single twirl on the ball of her foot, she stepped out of the closet and slid the doors shut behind her, her ruby-red eyes looking out to the exposed windows allowing the moonlight to keep the room from being swallowed up in darkness. Luminesa looked to her wrist, the natural feel of her bracelet meeting her fingertips.

“Hungry… maybe Logan is hungry… ah, he can care for himself…”

Huffing out her final words, Lumiesa’s positive streak was cut short as she unlocked her door, trudging out and closing the door behind her, the small pitter-patter of footsteps making their way across the hall and down the stairs.

Tiredly, Luminesa opened the glass back door to her bedroom and slinked in clumsily, dropping to the floor without much of a care. Dirt-smudged bandages unwound themselves from her arms and hands to lay strewn on the floor; this is what happened whenever she did her job wrong. Her fellow teammates would pick on her. Physically. Annoyed with just about anything and everything, Luminesa simply relaxed her blood-strewn body, a sigh escaping her lips as thoughts of past events suddenly took over. The last time she’d seen Logan felt like a few weeks ago… to be more specific, the day they arrived. After that, what she feared the most seemed to take place right before her eyes; Logan was becoming more distant. He was seeing more people, which meant less time for her. At this thought, she felt her throat tighten in both anger and sadness, simply giving a guttural whimper to disperse her wound-up emotions.

“I hate this.”

Taking what other fragments of emotional stableness she had, Luminesa jerked herself up and walked out of her room clumsily, hitting a wall here and there and rubbing her eyes vigorously with her hands.
