Exploration Passages

System: Floor Eight
“Greetings, travelers!” Calls a heavenly voice from within the passage. “You have made it far, and faired well. One of you looks sick, however, so let me heal you?” As a lovely elven woman, a creature of otherworldly beauty beyond words, steps into light, she waves her hands and you and your party are healed. “And one last boon,” she says kindly, holding out to the female member of your group, “a priceless treasure. Will you take it, dear?”

"Go ahead." He motions to the newly arriving lady. "might as well take it she doesn't look dangerous."

System: Floor Eight
With a sickening smile, the elven beauty fades away, and out from the pouch springs a mass of writhing black tendrils, snatching and seeking a purchase among your party members. You have no choice but to fight. Luckily for your party, these are not such difficult monsters, having just been fully healed.
Monster : Level 4, HP 139
While all of your members regain their breath (and a hefty 58 experience points each), the smoke clears to the chorus of a soft mewl, and a swath of fur brushes up against the leg of your female character. Scraping gently with its claws, a small creature crawls up her form and rests on her shoulder, licking her cheek in thanks. You seem to have found a fox squirrel, native to this land, trapped here among the darkness, and he has taken quite a liking to your female character. I think he’d like to stay as your pet!

Seraphina’s New Pet:

-coughing as the smoke cleared, Vincent rubbed his eyes-
"Bloody Hell..."
-looking for the source of the sound, he saw a small creature rubbing against Seraphina-
"What the...?!"
-taking a quick stance, he raised his weapon, only to see the creature meant no harm-
"Seems you've earned yourself a new comrade."
-laughs with a polite smile-

Lucian almost turned the little squirrel to mush with a mighty roundhouse kick before the girl picked it up but stopped himself short. He then shuffled onward grumbling something about some little creature being a lucky little rat.

System: Floor Nine
You are almost done, weary travelers. Your exit lies in the distance. Near to the teleporter, however, you see one last treasure chest. Will you open it?

"DOIN IT!" Lucian walked up to the chest and gave it a frightening smash. He hoped for the best but prepared for the worst.

(OPEN THIS SHIZ)

System: Floor Nine
“A fitting farewell prize! You have received 49 pieces of your planet’s currency. Please make your way to the transporter, and be sure you have everything that you wish to take with you. Once you have departed, you will forever be prohibited from re-entering this area. It was…nice, playing this game with you,” the voice calls, fading into the distance with an ethereal laugh.

-dividing the prize up one final time, he gave everyone their final prize, then turned-
"It's been fun, everyone. Maybe we'll meet again."
-Vincent then approached the teleporter, leaving-

Lucian saluted them both and did an exaggerated bow before stepping into the portal. "glad to have fought by your guys side." He disappeared with a pocket full of cash a head full of a new experience.

“Welcome travelers, to my…Hey, wait, are you even listening? You, muscle man, hello? …Fine then. Due to your lack of attention, you have tripped over a treasure chest lying in your wake!” a distant, childish voice calls, leaving off with a huff at the end.

*le gasp and gets up*
stupid chest!
*kicks open*

*Just stares at the chest is kicked open*

System Level One:
“This seriously can’t be happening…You didn’t just…Oh shoot me now…Five more levels of this…”

System Level Two:
*the voice acknowledges Kenoo’s observation with a scoff, snapping at the two of them*
“You’d best watch your friend…Do you hear that in the distance? Foosteps approach. Will you fight, or will you run?”

Psh! scary voice lady! I ain't 'fraid of no ghost!
*runs wildly faliling arms towards the steps*

FIGHT

*Kenoo shakes his head and follows*

System Level Two and Three:
Monster, Level 12
HP, 144

*sighs, almost disappointedly* “Well…despite what I thought of you at first, you two DO seem to have some skills in fighting,” the voice comments. “You may proceed. If it’s at all possible, you seem to have gotten even more powerful from that last encounter. You have received 48 experience points. Ahead in the darkness, you see another treasure chest. Are you going to kick this one too?”

*Seeing the chest Kenoo kicked it open as well*

System Three:
Taking on a more professional tone, as if she had given up anything else, the voice speaks quietly and monotonously as the chest is kicked open. “Well done, warrior! You have found yourself treasure enough for two. There should be enough of your currency for the two of you to have 47 pieces each.”

System Four:
However, despite this luck, a pair of glowing eyes watches with envy, and plots your demise. Without so much as a sound, a dark shape lunges out of the shadows. You have only enough time to either draw your sword or flee—which do you choose?
