First topic message reminder :

Opened to the public, but discouraged to all but the bravest and most battle-ready of warriors, the lower depths of the castle are beautiful in their ancient architecture and filled with treasures untold. However, be warned. There are stories of creatures which lurk down here that would best be left undisturbed; venture too far and you might find yourself an unwelcome guest.

RULES AND NOTIFICATIONS!

★ All RPers must be in the same party.

▪ no more than five players per party
▪ first come first serve
▪ party leaders {first player to post} must declare all party members in an OOC statement to avoid confusion

– EXAMPLE : {Party A: Chimitsu, Mael, Osamu}

★ Every n posts, where n is the number of people in your party for parties of three members or more, brings your party to a new “floor.”

▪ for parties of less than three members, it requires 2n posts to get through a single floor
▪ acceptable posts include every role-playing post made by the party members

– excludes treasure chest and monster posts made by staff
– excludes decision posts {open, run, fight, leave}
– should be at least a solid paragraph; this isn’t a spam topic

★ Throughout your journey you may encounter random monsters.

▪ before knowing the monster’s level or HP, you will be given the option to FIGHT or RUN; be sure your entire party is clear on the choice because everyone will be affected
▪ if you FIGHT, you will gain EXP for winning!

– to win, your party’s collective HP or level must be greater than the monster’s HP or level

– collective HP is determined by adding up all the HP of the party’s members; collective level is determined similarly

▪ if you LOSE, you will be sent back to the first floor!
▪ if you RUN, you will only be reset one floor!

★ You may also find treasure chests at various points.

▪ without knowing the contents of the chest, you will be asked if you want to OPEN IT or LEAVE IT
▪ there is no penalty for leaving a treasure chest
▪ when you open a treasure chest, there may or may not be enough treasure for the whole party

– you may choose for yourself who gets what
– in some cases, treasure may “choose” its owner among multiplayer parties {i.e. an admin may dictate who gets what}

★ Some treasure chests may be trapped.

▪ trapped treasure chests look exactly like normal treasure chests and offer the same options: OPEN or LEAVE
▪ no penalty for leaving a treasure chest
▪ if you open a trapped chest, you will be faced with an extraordinarily strong monster

– you cannot run or refuse to fight
– to win, both your collective HP and level must exceed that of the monster in the chest
– if you lose, you will be reset to the beginning floor and you will not be able to revisit this floor or claim the treasure or EXP
– if you win, you will get double the EXP of a random encounter and maybe a special item

★ At the end of the passage, you will be teleported out to the ballroom and forbidden from re-entering the passage.

▪ all prizes and EXP are permanent unless stated otherwise
▪ the passage ends on floor 3n, wheren is the number of persons in your party
▪ if you are reset, all the floors and their treasure chests will be scrambled so that you cannot gain double treasure
▪ the number of times you are able to retake the passage after being reset to the beginning is equal to the number n persons in your party and may not exceed that limit

Maximum Capacity: Five; must be a collective group with one communal RP rather than one or more RPs in the same thread.

It took Sera a moment before she really realized that she'd defeated the monster. A smile spread on her face as she felt her confidence beginning to rise. Though she knew to try and keep it low before it got too high and could jynx the rest of the team. She grabbed another bow and nocked it onto the string.
"Let's keep moving."

Fate seems not to be on your side, fair travelers! You have been accosted by another creature—perhaps the mate of the one you have just slain? Will you fight this one too, or retreat one floor until it has had time to mourn?

Lucian once again waved on the next party member. "alright stick boy lets see what you got. don't be out done by a shy little girl." He was watching this one intently as well, always excited to see new fighting styles.

"I highly doubt I'll be out done, as you say."
-Vincent narrowed his eyes, focusing before tossing his staff. Doing such at the angle he had chosen caused the weapon to pierce through the beast's heart. He took his weapon back as soon as he was sure the creature was dead-
"Let's go."

She said smiling shyly to Vince. Sera felt herself slowly crawling from the shadows, with these two she seemed to have made it a lot farther then she first thought she would. Alone she could have never done this, but with these two by her side it felt like this was going by so quickly. She could feel herself a bit stronger, but she wouldn't let it go to her head. With her arrow still nocked on the string she followed the other to the next floor.

"cross your fingers boys and girls i want blood shed." Lucian strapped on his gloves as he stepped towards the chest. Once again he struck the front of it hard with his boot to open it and looking what was inside.

So far the three seemed to be having their fair share of luck. As Sera took her share and contniued along side th others she was glad that she'd come here. Standing by Vincent again she walked to keep up with their pace. The wood of her bow in one hand and the feathers of the arrow in another.

Lucian listened intently to the steps and held his hand up in a halt sign. He whispered to the group with caution. "hear that? lets not push our luck to much. I dont want to end up under whatever boots are making that sound."

The voice in the distance laughs. “Poor little mortal fools…Well then. Wait until the lumbering oaf passes by, ignorant, but delay your travels. You have been reset back to the beginning of floor six.”

Sera had spoken too soon it seemed, they had decided to flee fromt he monster and allow it to pass. Her fear had spiked so high that her diminutive white wings had appeared from her shoulder blades. Though she refused to force them to hide as it woould take up a lot of energy, she needed that right now.

Lucian crept up the stairs to the next floor smiling. "Alright guys coast is clear. Half the battle is picking it." His light footsteps could barely be heard unlike that oaf that just walked by.

It seems that monster you heard before has dropped something on the floor—a treasure chest? A bag? It’s too dark to see. Will you venture forward to see what is inside? Open it, or leave it?

Lucian walked right up to the chest quickly. "dont hesitate just act." He stated this wiht a smirk as he bent down to open the object.

With a nod Sera kept moving forward with her share. This was a little suspicious, all this luck and getting this treasure. But it could just be that they were lucky and nothing else, but she still felt uneasy. She followed along side Vincent, wondering what else these floors held.
