Juxtaposed with the higher, more mountainous regions of the forest, the Suspended Walkway both separates and connects the Castle with the rest of Nature’s Claim. As the walkway begins, the ground beneath suddenly drops off towards the underground lake, with only a precariously steep set of steps leading down, should anyone not wish to merely ump to their death. Sturdy pillars hold the water worn stone at its high position, offering it to the spray of the waterfalls which feed the great tree’s roots. Atop the walkway, thin white spires reach towards the sky in periodically placed pairs, marking the infinite number of sharp turns. This walkway is under constant surveillance from the royal guard, hidden in the trees high above, though they will not reveal themselves unless visitors appear to be hostile, or attempt to pass the gates without prior clearance.
At the end of the walkway, a shallow pool of shimmering mineral water from the healing lake spreads out between low ridges of ice fringed with fragile plants of the same nature. Guarded by lifelike statues of wolves, a wide-based staircase lays at the end of a white-carpet of snowdrop flowers planted in the center of the pool. For the first time in centuries, the doors to the castle have opened to admit guests for a fantastic party. Come, see what awaits you inside…

| Lyonus had ran quite a ways with Camille, and when he figured the girl was probably tired he skidded to a halt. He made certain that he didn't slip, and that he also had a good hold on the woman he was dragging behind himself so that she would slip on the icy walkway either. Even if she did the way he had her and stood he'd easily be able to catch her before she went anywhere anyway.
"I'm sorry about that."
He was rather glad that his plan had worked and his sister hadn't had time to follow. Certainly he'd never hear the end of it when he got home, but he figured he'd be able to please his sister at some point. She did have quite the soft spot for him, so she wouldn't be able to stay mad at him forever, and that's what he was counting on at this point. She certainly was overprotective of him, and it got irritating when he was actually on his medication and understood that. Even if she was irritating though, he loved his sister.
Lyonus' mind snapped out of thought as he finally got a glimpse of the scenery around them. A small smile crossed over his grey features and he began to walk, slowly this time. He still held Camille's hand as he walked, and he was leading her towards the end of the walkway. The water, ice, and flowers were all so gorgeous. In his eye was a twinkle of delight as he turned his head to look at Camille.
"It's lovely here. I'm glad I ran off with you."

| Camille was growing tired from running. Sure, she was thin, but she was not very "in shape", even if she wanted to be. She figured she must have looked silly; a short, busty girl running behind a tall, athletic man. He stopped suddenly and she let out a small yelp of surprise as she nearly slid across the ice. Thankfully, Lyonus once again saved her from embarrassment and falling flat on her butt. Is this going to be a recurring thing? she thought to herself, chuckling at the mere thought. She waved her free hand idly, as if to say "It's okay" and smiled as she looked out to the icy pathway glittering in the moonlight. She had to hold back a chuckle to herself; it was almost like a scene from a romance novel.
"It's all right," Camille said with a smile, "It was kind of fun to run, actually. I haven't done it in a while. Maybe I should to get more exercise..."
Camille looked out at the pool of water as she and Lyonus approached it. Her eyes shone in the moonlight as a wide smile crossed her face. The girl absolutely loved water and this was no exception. Though she was not a fan of ice, she did like the way some water froze over, especially when it made lovely patterns. She looked out at the landscape before catching Lyonus's eye and nodding her cheeks tinged pink slightly. Did he really just say that to her? He did, but he probably did not mean it in the way she thought he did. Still, there was something about being under the moonlight with someone else that just made her girly side squeal with joy.
"It is beautiful here... I'm glad we came too. It's nice to be away from all of the noise, Camille said softly, smiling at Lyonus.

| Lyonus was rather glad that he had managed to keep the girl on her feet. He guessed it was right of him to grab onto her the way he had, as he had noticed that she had started to slip, but managed to keep upright. Casually he glanced over Camille as she spoke, seeming to take in her appearance as he looked to be contemplating what she said. He gave up after a minute and shrugged his shoulders. She looked okay to him. So what if she got a bit out of breath while running? Hopefully it wasn't something she'd have to be doing often while here.
"I think you look alright now. I mean...If you really want to though, I suppose I could go on jogs with you every now and again."
He still didn't really think it was exactly anything that Camille needed, but he was certainly willing to bring her out every now and again if she wanted.
"Yeah...All the noise and people makes me nervous sometimes." He gave a slight nod in agreement as he spoke.
Casually Lyonus let go of Camille's hand before heading down the steps. There was still some water in spots, but where it was it was oddly warm. This must have been some of the water from the healing lake. It was rather refreshing. Slowly he reached his hand up and out towards Camille, offering it to her. Even though there was some water, there was also still some ice, and he figured he'd give her some support if she were going to follow after him. To back up his helping hand he gave her a warm, friendly, and encouraging smile.

| Camille was glad that Lyonus was able to catch her before she fell. She was always managing to make herself look like a fool somehow, especially in front of people she was fond of. She wondered idly if it was just a nervous habit or a sign of neurological damage. Well, whatever it was, she was living and breathing, so the damage, if there was any, was not horrendous or extensive. She noticed his eyes lingering on her and she bit her lower lip, looking away slightly. She supposed he was looking at her to see what she was talking about. She was slim, though she was not exactly a stick, like her daytime appearance. In fact, she had the typical curves of a woman her age and she was okay with it.
"O-oh, thank you," she replied softly, the blush continuing to flare on her cheeks.
Camille nodded, continuing to look out at the beautiful ice scenery before them. Everything was just so beautiful and it was wonderful to be looking at the mostly iced over water. However, she did notice a small patch that was not covered in ice, which was fascinating. She wanted to go up close and touch it herself, but she was afraid of getting frostbite. She noticed Lyonus move out of the corner of her eye and stayed in place. A grey hand was extended to her after a minute or two and she smiled genuinely before placing her own pale appendage in his hand. She wanted to ask where they were going, but she figured it would spoil the adventure.
"Thank you," she said quietly, wrapping her fingers around the side of his palm.

| When Lyonus caught the blush on Camille's face he quickly glanced away, feeling his own face heat up slightly as he lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck. "Oh, uh...Yeah, no problem..."
What was her blush about? Had he said something wrong? Maybe it wasn't that he had said anything wrong, but maybe he had said something right. A somewhat curious look crossed over his face at this thought, and he moved his eyes to look over Camille again. How could one tell which was the case in a moment like this? He wasn't entirely sure how. He was going off nothing at this point, and was hoping that he hadn't offended Camille in any way at all. He'd much rather make the girl happy then offend her.
After a few moments of studying the girl he felt her hand move into his own. When Camille's fingers wrapped around his palm he allowed his own hand to close gently around hers. He held it for a moment before leading her down and then walking forward. He himself wasn't really sure where he was taking Camille, but he figured it would probably be nice. Lyonus watched Camille for a moment before questioning her.
"Are you cold?" | |

| Camille noticed the tinge of red on Lyonus's face and tilted her head slightly. She had not remembered saying anything embarrassing or flattering. She wondered why he was blushing himself, but she did not really mean to ask. After all, it was none of her business, right? She started to hum a tune softly, looking at Lyonus before looking up at the twinkling stars and glowing moon in the sky. It was almost magical to be out in the night, even if it was cold. It was times like this that she would imagine meeting her Prince Charming at a ball and dancing with him outside, under the cover of both darkness and light. The thought made her almost snort to herself. Who would take any interest in the lanky, weird girl with the funny way of talking?
Camille was not normally complimented on her appearance. However, his compliment made her blush nonetheless, but she supposed the rouge cheeks were explain it enough. She smiled quietly to herself as she looked around. The moonlight seemed to dance along the path while the stars seemed to move in the sky at the same time. She was far from insulted, in fact, she felt more beautiful than normal. Sure, he had not said anything special, but it was the thought that counted for Camille, after all. She was indeed, very happy at the moment. However, she hoped her wide smile and enchanted, radiant, blue eyes said more than she needed to. The corner of her lips were curved up into a heart-melting smile that would surely take most men's hearts. She followed him down the path, her frail body shaking as she did so. The rest of her body was protesting the cold, making her shiver. She hated being without a coat, but she supposed it was not that bad out. It certainly could have been worse, that was for sure.
"A little," Camille muttered, drawing slightly closer to Lyonus.

| After a bit of walking Lyonus came to a halt. He felt around on the ground with his booted foot, taking note that the ice was solid, and not quite as slippery as other parts. He glanced up to Camille then and watched her for a moment. He blinked his crimson eyes as he caught the smile on her lips and stared at her face for a moment. After catching himself he glanced away and lifted his free hand to rub the back of his neck once more, feeling rather embarrassed for doing something so weird. When Camille confirmed his thoughts he seemed to think for a moment.
Not much longer from when the girl had spoken, Lyonus let go of her hand and moved his hands to unbutton his flannel shirt. As he did he revealed that he wore a tight black beater under it, and once it was unbuttoned he pulled it of. Lyonus quietly reached around Camille's back with it and draped it over her shoulders. It wasn't much, but he hoped that the flannel would help warm her up a bit as he shot her a boyish smile.
"There you go."
Lyonus seemed to hesitate a moment before he slowly reached his hand out towards Camille once more. "I'm not very good at it, but...I mean, we're at a party and all...So would you dance with me?"

| Camille followed Lyonus closely, still occasionally directing her attention elsewhere. Her ears strained to hear the lilting melodies that play from inside the castle. The moonlight cast a silver glow on the ice before them, making a "silver carpet" of sorts. She tried to walk with good posture and grace, though she felt her feet trying to dance and slide upon the ice by themselves. Thankfully, when Lyonus stopped, the ice seemed to be less slippery, which was a relief to Camille. It was not until after he looked away that she noticed his eyes had lingered on her, but even then, she had a hard time believing it. After all, she was just a plain person. Who would ever have any interest in her? Not to mention the fact that she was a freak of nature... Still, another small part of her said to take a leap of faith and see where it would go.
She tilted her head to the side, trying not to stare impolitely as he removed his shirt. She was relieved to see that he was wearing another shirt underneath because she would have felt bad for leaving him shirtless. A chill ran up her spine when the unfamiliar flannel fabric brushed against the back of her neck, right above the collar of her dress. She nodded quietly to him in thanks as a sweet smile of gratitude spread across her lips. Her cheeks were still slightly pink from earlier and she felt a little more warmth in her face, but thankfully, it did not show because her cheeks were already flushed. She tilted her head slightly as he extended his hand to her, her eyelashes fluttering for a moment. She noted the hesitation in his movements and voice and suppressed a smile; it was more endearing than anything. She smiled at him and nodded, looking at the ground for a moment before looking back up at him. She placed her hand in his again, this time placing their palms together and loosely placing her fingers through his.
"It would be my pleasure," she replied softly as her smiled softened a little, "To be fair, I'm not very good at dancing either. But it's worth a shot, isn't it?"
Camille stepped forward a little, closing the large gap between them. She did not remember much about dancing, but she did remember that the partners had to be at least an arm's length away. Since she was so short, she had to move closer so that she was not overstretching her arms. She looked at the ice for a moment, watching the twinkling stars try to reflect off of it. However, the ethereal glow of the moon seemed to negate the stars entirely, dominating the reflective coloring of the ice. She swallowed slightly before looking him in the eyes for a few moments, wondering if she should say something. However, she decided not to and instead fell under the spell of the faint music in the background. Her eyelashes fluttered as she continued to look at him, waiting for him to make a movement first.

| This entire situation was new to Lyonus, and that was making him somewhat nervous. Of course he'd had someone he'd liked before, but it went nothing like this. Despite things being new though, there was a slight feel of familiarity to it, like it was something that he should be doing. It didn't really make him feel much more confident though. He had plenty of doubts and worries in his mind about his actions. How long should he look at her? Was he looking away too long or too often? Was he being too quiet? Certainly had he not been undead, all this worrying and stress would be the death of him. That and the weird feeling in his stomach. That was definitely odd as well. He was fairly sure that if his heart still beat...It would be going crazy right now. These situations were certainly a sure way to lead to a heart attack weren't they?
When Camille placed her hand into his and moved closer he did his best to push all those worries from his mind. Right now it was important for him to remember the steps he had been taught a long time ago. As casually as he could he reached his free hand out and gently placed it onto Camille's hip. He remembered the stance well, and it somewhat felt comfortable to him. The one thing he hadn't thought about though, that he was noticing now...Was the height difference. Certainly there was nothing to fix that, but he hadn't even taken it into consideration. It made him smile though. Camille was certainly cute. That thought brought a small blush to his face, but he did his best to get it off his face as quickly as possibly.
"Thank you for allowing me this dance, m'lady." He gave one of his crooked boyish smiles after saying this.
Carefully Lyonus began to move, counting the steps in his head as he did. He wasn't too concentrated on that though; most of his attention went to Camille.

| Camille tilted her head slightly, noting the lines on Lyonus's forehead. Was he worried or something? She could not be sure, but that is what it seemed like. She suppressed a quiet chuckle as she felt her heart start to race a little. Sure, she had felt this feeling before, but it never really felt natural or "right". The butterflies in her stomach tickled her insides pleasantly and she closed her eyes for a moment, just letting the moment capture her. The gentle, winter breeze made her hair flutter and her bangs fall over her closed eyes. When she opened her sapphire eyes again, she chuckled quietly to herself, trying to blow her bangs out of her face. She swallowed as she felt her heart accelerate. Was this what her parents spoke about when they told her about love? She shook her head; no, this was not love, but it was a connection deeper than friends, that was for sure. She smiled shyly, looking to the side before looking him in the eyes as her smile widened.
Camille swallowed softly, placing her free hand on his shoulder as best as she could. She had to giggle at their height difference; it was kind of amusing. Of course, this was typical for adults, she knew. Men were typically taller than women in adulthood, though she often wondered why this was. Of course, no one knew why and she chided herself internally for pondering such an odd question in a sweet moment. She noticed a tinge on his cheeks that was there one moment and gone the next, which made her giggle quietly to herself. It was cute, she had to admit.
"It's my pleasure, good sir," she said with a charming smile, "You aren't as bad of a dancer as you claim to be."
When he started to shift his feet, Camille started to as well, following his lead. Of course, she was always afraid of falling on the ice, but she supposed that Lyonus would catch her if she did. After all, he had already saved her several times, hadn't he, so what would make slipping on ice any different? With that thought in her mind, she gently interlocked her fingers with his as she felt her heart race a little more. She wondered for a moment if this was even real. She thought that any moment, she would be snapped out of reading a romance novel by the beeping of an oven or a gust of wind rattling the windows. She closed her eyes for a moment or two, hoping that the moonlight shining on her skin was a reality and not her overactive imagination. However, when her eyes fluttered open, she saw that the whole scene was indeed real and she sighed quietly in contentment. She had always dreamed about a moment like this, but never did she expect it to become reality.
"You know, she said softly, biting her lip before speaking once again, "I've always kind of imagined a moment sort of like this, but I've always been so much of a cynic to believe it would never happen to me... If I may say, thank you for proving me wrong."
She smiled sweetly at him and continued to dance with him, still cautious about dancing on the ice.

| "Oh..." When Lyonus noticed that Camille's hair fell into her face he lifted his hand from her waist long enough to brush it gently from there. He smiled softly, allowing his fingers to only linger for a moment before his hand returned to Camille's waist. Lyonus wasn't too worried about dancing on the ice, he'd been a soldier, a captain, and he'd been in situations like this doing much more than dancing. He actually found that dancing was a bit like close combat, or hand-to-hand. The movements were in sync in both situations. You had to be in sync with your partner.
"I wasn't sure. It's been a while." He returned Camille's smile with his own.
Holding Camille so close made it easier for Lyonus to be sure that the girl wouldn't slip and fall so easily. His hold wasn't tight of course, it was gentle. It was a new sensation for him to hold someone so close, but it was a good one. Lyonus was certainly enjoying himself in this situation, and was rather glad that he was sharing the moment with Camille. This made him felt strange though. Never once had he enjoyed sharing a moment with anyone other than his sister as of late. This was a good thing, he supposed. He couldn't be dependent on his sister forever. She'd certainly get tired of him and leave eventually, so it was good that he was making connections outside of her. This brought a small smile to his face.
Lyonus watched Camille as she spoke, and his head tilted to the side some. He might surprise her with his knowledge of romance novels. It's not like he read them often, for he didn't exactly read often, but he had read a few.
"So...Am I like your image of Heathcliff?" He teased a bit. Certainly no one would have an image of Heathcliff with grey skin, pointed ears, fangs, and red eyes. They especially didn't picture such a man to be mentally unstable and medicated.

| Part of the reason her eyes fluttered open again was that she felt something gentle brush across her forehead. She had felt the hand on her waist move off and then back on again. She supposed the slight tickle against her forehead was caused by his fingers moving the fringe of her bangs away from her eyes. In contrast, she was very concerned about dancing on the ice. She was a very clumsy person and was not known for her dancing skills. In fact, she had always been pushed to the back in her dance classes when she was younger, but maybe that was because she seemed to be taller than all of the other girls her age. She had never fought a day in her life and never planned to; for Camille, violence only bred more violence. She had seen too much destruction at the hands of her own people and she promised to never be like them. However, she could compare dancing to a duet of sorts; two people, in sync, working to achieve a common goal. Granted, in this situation, no one was singing, but it was the best metaphor she could come up with that made sense in her head.
Camille had to admit, it was nice actually being acknowledged by someone else. The feeling of being held and protected made her feel a little weak, but to be fair, she was kind of a weakling. She did not fight and only used her ability in self-defense, even though she could verbally hold her own if she wanted to. However, it was nice to be close to someone after being ignored or alone for quite some time. Maybe that was why she was blushing so brilliantly, though she could not be entirely sure. It was enjoyable to have a quiet, semi-intimate moment with someone who she had grown fond of. She was not sure if it was his sweet personality, the fact he had saved her, his looks or all of it rolled into one that attracted her, but whatever it was, she was happy for the first time in a long time. She glanced up at her left wrist and her lips turned upward lightly at the curl of the letter "r". She was not sure if he noticed it, but she did in fact have a tattoo on her wrist that said "It gets better."
Camille chuckled quietly at his statement, careful not to move her head until she spoke, "Well, I never really imagined being a character in a romance novel, but I could see you as my Heathcliff... Minus the whole revenge plot, of course."
She laughed softly at her own joke, looking out at their surroundings for a moment before looking back at him with a sweet smile on her face. Yes, this was turning out to be a wonderful night indeed and she wished it would never end.

| Lyonus chuckled slightly at Camille's statement. "But that's the best part!" Certainly he meant story wise, but he didn't mean that it was something that he would like to do himself.
He fell silent after that and continued to lead Camille until the song ended. When it did he removed his hand from her waist, took a step back, and bowed down low, placing his lips gently against the hand that he still held. He closed his eyes for a moment as he did, but after that he tilted his head up and opened his eyes, smiling lightly at Camille.
"Thank you for allowing me that dance."

| Camille started to laugh, hoping that she misunderstood what Lyonus had said. Surely, he had meant the plot of the book, but it sounded like he was talking about himself. She shook her head as a smile danced on her lips; this was the most fun she had in quite some time. She was glad she had made a friend on this insane planet, even if he was not the most orthodox one. Yet again, what had she expected after being picked up by a portal and being thrown through the space-time continuum to another planet that was probably in a different galaxy or even universe? Her cheeks had become a little more pink from laughing, but she hardly minded. She was already feeling butterflies in her stomach, so the rouge on her cheeks was not that much of a stretch.
Camille smiled at Lyonus as the song ended, respectfully stepping away from him. However, he managed to kiss the hand he was holding and she giggled quietly, curtsying as he bowed. She forgot, however, how short her dress actually was and pulled it down over her thighs when she straightened up, blushing furiously. She nodded in response to his statement, though, not missing a beat. A sincere smile crossed her face as her blue eyes seemed to dance in the light of the moon.
"You're welcome... That dance was lovely," she replied softly, looking at the ground for a moment, "It was almost magical..."
Camille chuckled and shook her head, looking back up at Lyonus with a smile. She let her hand fall to her side, almost hoping that he would decide to take it again for some reason. However, she did not want to get her hopes up.

| Lyonus hadn't even noticed that Camille's dress was short at all. He hadn't been looking there. He'd been looking up at her face. He smiled as he straightened up, and as she spoke of magic his smile grew a little more devious. Lyonus knew magic! Maybe he could impress her some with that. Well...Not that he wanted to impress her...He just wanted to make her happy. Mentally he nodded. Yeah, that's what he had really meant. He wanted to make Camille happy, not impress her.
"I know magic. My parents were mages."
It wasn't often that Lyonus spoke of the past with anyone but his sister so that bit of information was quite a big step for him. Camille was the first person other than Lyssa or Chimitsu that he'd mentioned anything of his past to. He quickly thought it over though...He didn't know magic that often made people smile. Usually people drew back in fear or disgust at his magic...He hadn't exactly thought this through very well, and that made him scowl slightly. He wanted to make Camille laugh, not freak her out.
"I mean...Not that it's anything spectacular, and it's rather strange so..." He lifted a hand to rub the back of his neck as he added that on.

| Camille tilted her head when he mentioned magic and smiled widely. She used to sneak to the back of the bookstore to read magic books, whether they were spells or instructions for potions. She had always loved going to see "magic" shows as a child, though as she grew older, she realized they were illusions. Still, it was cool to hear that someone could "do magic" and the real kind too, not just silly illusions. She giggled quietly and wondered to herself if he was just saying that to impress her, but she figured that he would not lie. After all, they were friends, weren't they, so why would he feel the need to lie to her? She shook her head, rolling her eyes at her own thoughts. Her trains of thought were so ridiculous sometimes that she wondered why she did not laugh out loud at them. Of course, this was probably because she would have felt silly doing such a thing.
"Ah, okay! I think I've read some books about mages before, but I don't remember what they said because I read them a while ago," Camille said sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck.
She hated forgetting information that she had read a while ago. Of course, this was all a part of her humanity, but sometimes, she wished that she did not forget such things easily. Especially since all of the things she could remember were traumatic. She glanced at her left wrist, preventing herself from frowning. Sure, she had beaten her demons, but that did not mean the scars, both physical and emotional, were still there. However, she was glad that he was able to talk a little about his past without getting too upset. Maybe she could do that one day, but for now, she focused on his words. On one hand, she was curious to see what he could do. However, she did not want to put him on the spot by asking him to show her something.
"Well, if I can't see it, I can't exactly react to it," she teased, smiling at him softly, "I'm sure it's really cool though.
Camille moved forward a little, gently taking Lyonus's hand in hers and leading him slightly up the path, so that the trees could not filter the moonlight through the branches. She was treading carefully, hoping that she would not fall on the ice. She stopped right outside of the branches of a tree and smiled softly, turning around to face him. Her cheeks remained pink and she felt her stomach flutter, but she had to speak the words that seemed to catch in her throat. She just had to, or she might burst.
"This has been a wonderful night... Thank you so much for everything," Camille said softly, giving Lyonus's hand a gentle squeeze, "You're one of the best friends I could ever ask for... Though I have to ask, does me holding your hand like this make you feel something? If it doesn't, I completely understand, believe me."
She swallowed looking down at their connected hands and twined fingers. Sure, her small, pale hands looked odd next to his large, grey ones, but it seemed like a good contrast as opposed to a bad one. Of course, if she was reading too much into things, she was more than happy to be good friends with him. The thought stung a little, but she shoved it to the back of her mind as she chewed on her lower lip, waiting for an answer of some sort.

| A small but grim smile crossed over Lyonus' face as Camille spoke about books on magic and such. He hadn't been able to learn his magic from books. In all the magic books that his parents had owned, his magic hadn't shown up. He'd heard from many that it was taboo to use magic such as his own. Often blood magic required a contract with a demon, but he didn't remember ever having done such a thing. It was just something he was born with. Still people were afraid of him, and while he hadn't told his parents why; it was really the deciding thing that caused him to go into the woods and train on his own. Everything Lyonus knew how to do with his form of magic was self taught. He'd had no one to show him what to do.
"Well...My magic doesn't seem to show up in books too often." He gave a slight sigh at that. He'd really wished it had.
Lyonus looked around the area, and while Camille's words about not being able to react to his magic without seeing it was certainly true...This place wasn't right for it. It was so lovely and peaceful here, and so he didn't want to ruin that with his blood. This was also a perfect way to put off showing it to her so he looked back to her and gave a small smile.
"I'll show you another time then. This isn't really a good place for such magic."
Blinking slightly Lyonus glanced down at their hands as Camille took his. He smiled softly after, and gently wrapped his hand around hers. He followed after her obediently, and stopped when she did. When she turned to face him he glanced away as if he hadn't been staring at her the entire time they had been walking...Which he had. When she spoke though, his head immediately snapped forward and to attention as he looked over her soft features. He listened intently, allowing her to finish before coming up with a response.
"Yeah...It was no problem, Camille." He shot her a gentle smile before a slight blush crossed over his face and he seemed to be thinking. What exactly was a proper response for this question? He'd go for the most simple one that was still telling the truth. "I um...Definitely feel something."
What that something he was talking about was, Lyonus wasn't entirely sure. He hadn't really felt this way before, and so it was new for him. He wondered why she was asking him this question all of a sudden, but it didn't really bother him that she was. Never once did he look away from Camille's face this time. He simply gazed at her quietly, waiting to find out what all of this meant.
(I'm sorry. I've been a bit busy the past few days. I'll do better to get on, I promise!)

| Camille did not realize that Lyonus was speaking about blood magic. However, she had read about it once or twice, though she remembered the librarian chiding her for coming out of the dark arts section with the book in hand. She promptly returned the book and did not retain anything. However, this was what sparked her curiosity and her thirst for knowledge. After that encounter, she started to read history books, but she quickly grew bored of them and drifted over to the mythology section, her curiosity piqued by all of the myths mentioned in the books about Greece. She shook her head, wondering where those memories came from, after all, Camille was not magical herself. She had asked her parents and even her grandparents, but no one knew where her odd transformation originated. She supposed it was simply a mystery, ready to be discovered when it desired to be.
"Oh? That's interesting," Camille said, tilting her head, "You can usually find books on anything... Or at least where I come from."
She tilted her head at his second statement, nodding as if to say 'It's okay.' She was not going to put him on the spot, after all, they were friends. As far as she knew, friends did not make each other uncomfortable. Besides, the area that they were in was too naturally beautiful to do anything to, even it were a simple spell. She looked around at the trees, smiling to herself; nature was always so beautiful when it was untouched. She almost felt that she was staining the earth by standing where she was. However, she looked at the young man in her company and flushed sightly, deciding that the environment would forgive her if she could figure out what was going on between the two of them.
Camille felt Lyonus's hand wrap around hers and a blush exploded across her cheeks. She shook her head a little, trying to chase the butterflies out of her stomach and the tingles out of her head. The buzz was pleasant, but she did not want to show him that she was slightly nervous or embarrassed. She had never felt this feeling before, so she herself was confused, though she had to admit it felt nice, despite her burning cheeks. She could almost feel his eyes looking at her from behind and she felt a small smile cross her lips. Once she turned to face him and addressed him, he looked at her, which made her flush a little more, but a smile still danced across her lips.
"C-can you describe it? Or would you rather me describe what I feel? M-maybe that would be easier..." she asked, swallowing before she spoke while the blush continued to crawl across her cheeks.
Camille did not know how to label how she felt. Looking into his face though, she could find at least one label. Attraction... But what kind, she asked herself. More importantly, how did it happen? They were just friends, weren't they? Somehow though, she could not help but want just a little bit more. She tilted her head to the side, reaching her hand up to brush her thumb across the blush on his cheeks, smiling shyly at him. She retracted her hand after a moment, mumbling a soft apology as she did so. She was sure that odd gesture had made him uncomfortable, and that was the last thing she wanted to do.

| "Well...You might be able to now, but when I was still...Well...Alive there wasn't that awful much on my magic. We mostly had books passed down through our family when I was still learning."
Lyonus hadn't really thought about the fact that there were probably books on it now. He figured even if there was it probably wouldn't be teaching you how to use it so much as giving information on it and telling how wrong it was.
Quietly he listened and watched Camille. There was a slight scowl on his face as he tried to figure out what she was speaking of. What was it that he was feeling? He wasn't exactly sure how to explain it. He'd never felt anything like this before, and so he had to think about it. Well, his stomach did feel funny, and he was certain that if his heart were still beating then it would be doing so fairly fast, and she did make him blush. Even when they weren't touching she could make him feel like that. It was odd.
"Well...My stomach feels weird, and I blush."

| Camille blushed, chewing on her lower lip. She had forgotten that Lyonus was much older than her. It was so odd to remember that he was not around her age, but much older. She seemed almost apologetic for unintentionally mentioning how old he was. She chided herself internally; she would make many enemies for herself if she reminded someone of his or her age. She nodded, as if to say that she understood. Personally, her parents had advised her to stay away from magic, though they did not forbid her from reading books. Her family had been of a religious sort that just happened upon unfortunate circumstances that prevented her from having any more siblings.
She noticed the small scowl on his face and frowned slightly. Was that something he always did when he thought? The fact that he scowled slightly in thought did not bother her too much, she supposed. Maybe it was frustration due to the fact that he could not find the proper term for what he was feeling. To be fair, Camille could not find the right term either. It was not exactly love, or at least love the way her parents described it. Just to be sure, she grabbed his hand again, feeling her cheeks flush and her heart accelerate a little bit. She smiled at him sweetly and laced her fingers through his, looking at him as if she wanted to go somewhere.
"Say, maybe we should take this conversation elsewhere. You know, out of earshot," she suggested, with a soft smile, "I can see a garden not to far from here. How about we go there to chat, hm? Do you think your sister would be angry?"

| In all honesty being reminded of his age. He didn't remember how old he really was, but that was fine. The times had been rough, but it was okay to remember sometimes. He just didn't exactly enjoy speaking of his past with other people. Only a few people knew it, and some didn't even know because he told them. Lyssa grew up with him, and Chimitsu probably read his file. He wasn't sure though...He couldn't really even remember if he had ever said anything to her about his past. Camille was really the only one that he had even actually mentioned his past to.
When Camille took his hand once more he blinked, snapping out of his thoughts quickly. He looked up to her face and gave her a soft smile. She was right. It probably would be better if they went somewhere else to speak of these things. Besides, the party was probably going to be ending soon. When she brought up Lyssa though he seemed to hesitate with his answer in thought.
"Yeah, let's go. And don't worry about Lyssa. She probably left already anyway." He honestly didn't care what Lyssa thought at that moment.

| Camille sometimes felt awkward about her own age, seeing as she looked younger than she actually was during the day. She had been a fascinating case in her world and almost every doctor on the planet had studied her in some way, shape or form. She vaguely remembered all of the needles that pricked her skin, the countless test results, and the baffled doctors who tried to explain why she changed at a certain time of day. However, after a year or two of tests, her parents refused anymore opinions and let the young Camille live in peace. She shook her head, trying to chase the thoughts away. She knew she should really be focused on getting herself and Lyonus out of the party. So, she took him by the hand and started leading him down the path, toward the garden outside the castle walls. She hoped that he would not mind her doing so, after all, she was sure the party would wind down eventually and everyone would have to go home.
"Alright then, let's go," she said, taking him to the garden she had spoken of.
(They're going to the Garden Sanctuary. Is that okay? Also, you can post first there, if you like.)

| Lyonus followed after Camille. He didn't really mind leaving the party. He wasn't exactly one for crowded areas; that's why he and Lyssa had been away from where the main group of people were to begin with, and why he had brought Camille here. Of course he had been hoping to see Chimitsu while he was here, but she was a busy woman and he understood that, so he wasn't upset about not getting the chance to see her.
"Alright." He had a bit of an idea of where they were going.
(Yeah, sure. I'm sorry again about not being on much.)

Hundreds upon thousands of people are being ripped from the comfort of their lives and thrown into a chaotic world that now house generations of beings--humans and otherwise. Survival of the fittest is a key asset on this planet and bonds amongst others must be made. Not much is known of this planet but one thing.
We're never getting back.
