First topic message reminder :

Opened to the public, but discouraged to all but the bravest and most battle-ready of warriors, the lower depths of the castle are beautiful in their ancient architecture and filled with treasures untold. However, be warned. There are stories of creatures which lurk down here that would best be left undisturbed; venture too far and you might find yourself an unwelcome guest.

RULES AND NOTIFICATIONS!

★ All RPers must be in the same party.

▪ no more than five players per party
▪ first come first serve
▪ party leaders {first player to post} must declare all party members in an OOC statement to avoid confusion

– EXAMPLE : {Party A: Chimitsu, Mael, Osamu}

★ Every n posts, where n is the number of people in your party for parties of three members or more, brings your party to a new “floor.”

▪ for parties of less than three members, it requires 2n posts to get through a single floor
▪ acceptable posts include every role-playing post made by the party members

– excludes treasure chest and monster posts made by staff
– excludes decision posts {open, run, fight, leave}
– should be at least a solid paragraph; this isn’t a spam topic

★ Throughout your journey you may encounter random monsters.

▪ before knowing the monster’s level or HP, you will be given the option to FIGHT or RUN; be sure your entire party is clear on the choice because everyone will be affected
▪ if you FIGHT, you will gain EXP for winning!

– to win, your party’s collective HP or level must be greater than the monster’s HP or level

– collective HP is determined by adding up all the HP of the party’s members; collective level is determined similarly

▪ if you LOSE, you will be sent back to the first floor!
▪ if you RUN, you will only be reset one floor!

★ You may also find treasure chests at various points.

▪ without knowing the contents of the chest, you will be asked if you want to OPEN IT or LEAVE IT
▪ there is no penalty for leaving a treasure chest
▪ when you open a treasure chest, there may or may not be enough treasure for the whole party

– you may choose for yourself who gets what
– in some cases, treasure may “choose” its owner among multiplayer parties {i.e. an admin may dictate who gets what}

★ Some treasure chests may be trapped.

▪ trapped treasure chests look exactly like normal treasure chests and offer the same options: OPEN or LEAVE
▪ no penalty for leaving a treasure chest
▪ if you open a trapped chest, you will be faced with an extraordinarily strong monster

– you cannot run or refuse to fight
– to win, both your collective HP and level must exceed that of the monster in the chest
– if you lose, you will be reset to the beginning floor and you will not be able to revisit this floor or claim the treasure or EXP
– if you win, you will get double the EXP of a random encounter and maybe a special item

★ At the end of the passage, you will be teleported out to the ballroom and forbidden from re-entering the passage.

▪ all prizes and EXP are permanent unless stated otherwise
▪ the passage ends on floor 3n, wheren is the number of persons in your party
▪ if you are reset, all the floors and their treasure chests will be scrambled so that you cannot gain double treasure
▪ the number of times you are able to retake the passage after being reset to the beginning is equal to the number n persons in your party and may not exceed that limit

Perhaps...
*walks carefully down the stairs, her weapon ready for anything that may come.*
I might just be a little paranoid. The further we go, the less at ease I feel.

*Aurion spat on the monster as he walked by it, snapping a finger and zapping the sole bit of moisture on the monster, electrocuting it effectively, and burning a smoldering hole through it*

*Aurion held his hands out, and at the ready. As the monster flew out of the chest, he violently shot every bit of electricity in his body through his irises towards the creature, electrocuting it quite fatally and violently to a point that could only be described as incineration in which the ashes still twitched*

*Aurion paused, glancing at Chimitsu with the calmest eyes he'd ever have around someone*

*returns the gesture in offering him her weapon, something she never did for fear of being vulnerable and for the knowledge that none as strong enough to stand it under the weight the hex on it would initiate*

*Aurion left her weapon balanced on the back of his hand, showing his remarkably still posture from many years of marksmanship, bowing back lightly and stepping across the room towards Chimitsu, taking her hand slowly and disintegrating them both back upwards many levels*

There's a phone waiting for you..in the base. A call I'm sure you'll want to make. He always wanted to see you happy. It's my only goal, now.

Lucian sauntered towards the passage ways with an air of uncertainty. not what i was expecting...actually I'm not sure what i was expecting. He stood at the entrence feeling rather dwarfed compared to what he might find inside. He took one last look at the peace of paper he was given by a citizen. yeah i guess this is the place.

With not so much as a sigh, the new arrival on the planet had found himself lost and cold. "Damn it..." He glared forward, wrapping his arms around himself. Under the faint lighting, his Union Jack pin shined proudly. On his back was a spear like weapon cleverly disguised as a shaman staff. Grumbling to himself, he looked up, only to see another male in the area. Something about the place seemed odd to him. It was as if something were watching in the darkness. "Ah, hello. I seem to be lost..." He looked down to his feet, a little ashamed to admit it.

It was quiet amoung the corridors of the exploration passages. It was the kind of quite that could send chills down your spine, where it felt like you were being watched from the darkness. As a sudden clang was heard, so was a gasp and the sound of running feet. Sera stopped, her hands held together in front of her chest tightly, trying to hide her shaking.
Through many conversations she'd heard about this place, and thought it would be a good attempt to try and get over her many fears. But it seemed she was more scared now then she ever was before, she'd heard monsters dwelled in this place and she was very frightened. But she forced herself to keep pushing forward, she couldn't spend the rest of her life afraid of everything.
As she turned a corner she came across two other people, and sighed to herself as her tense body relaxed a bit. Having others here she felt a bit safer, slowly she turned the corner, her bow and quiver full of arrows at her back. She waited to see if the other two would take notice of her at all, as her face flushed, her shyness beginning to over come her slightly.

The creatures you find here will be specially adjusted to your own level, but be forewarned, they are not to be taken lightly,” booms a voice from the depths of the passage, and lights begin to appear, revealing staircases and, in the distance, a treasure chest. “Well, travelers. Will you open this or will you leave it where it is?”

Lucian Nods to the girl looking rather shy. "well.....looks like were going on together." He tilts his head towards the girl. "hey spear guy stick close to her. I don't like girls getting hurt around me but i also don't like being a body guard." With that he confidently walks up to the chest his heart pounding. "hear goes nothing." Lucian sends a swift kick to the chest attempting to knock the top open.

As Vincent approached her Sera smiled shyly, then looked back at Lucian and held her breath. Then as they received their prixe, she sighed happily and took her share. With a swallow she softly muttered to the other two
"I-I hope this won't b-be too easy, I d-didn't come t-to have things ha-handed to me. I-I want to be braver, I d-don't want to s-scared anymore... Oh, and my name is Seraphina DeAngelo, Sera for short."

Ahead in the darkness, you see another treasure chest. It lays up against a wall was a stream of stagnant water drips on it. It has not been opened in some time. Will you open it or leave it?

Lucian walked up to the chest smirking at it. "nice try Mr big voice. Were not trusting you that much." Lucian wanders past the chest without a second glance. As he moves on he looks back breifly. "dont touch that chest....at all."

Sera smiled softly as Vincent praised her on the goal she'd set for herself. Looking to the chest she needed, and easy feeling was settling in the pit of her stomach as well. Reaching behind her as she walked beside Vincent she brought her bow from her back, trying to keep herself calm if anything should happen. Her quiver held all the arrows she felt she needed for this exploration, she drew one and nocked it into the string, being ready for any attack that may be fall them.

Caution has served you well, or so it might seem. That chest was abandoned for good reason, though perhaps not what you think. As you progress, you hear a growl, and the guardian of that forlorn treasure slinks forward, teeth bared. Will you fight it or flee from it?

Lucian halted in front of the creature. He took a step then stopped. "well if ya wanna be brave hes all your little girl." He stepped to the side and waved the girl forward.
