Training Grounds

Nestled into the heart of the forest, the training grounds are withdrawn from the main castle front so that no castle residents will be disturbed or harmed by the intense sparring session. Stone guardians once used to mark the path and stand sentinel at the opening to the cobblestone clearing, but time has knocked them down and invasive denizens of the planet made their trail marker function unwelcome. Open to all soldiers and those invited by the monarch or her subjects alone, this area is very near close to being sacred as a place of meditation and reflection under the canopy of the forest. It also happens to be a favorite of the forest monarch; often, she can be found observing spars and even participating in them if she is not herself meditating atop the broken stone pillars.
