Sitting Room

Mael followed her into the sitting room, shrugging off his shirt. His next three steps included loosening his belt and pulling the fastener from his pants to drop them, kicking off his boots, and kicking off his pants before crossing the room easily to grab her by her butt, spreading her legs around him as he mounted her, laying her back on the couch.

His teeth found her throat as his hands did their work stripping her of her lingerie, wandering about, and indeed, inside her in certain spots, after she was fully stripped of clothing. Azure eyes drifted over her beautifully shaped, and perfectly proportioned body as he murmured loving things into her ear.

There was something amazing about watching Mael undress in merely three steps, the light glinting off his skin, which seemed to turn a shade darker every time she saw him nowadays. He moved with a rolling ease, each movement flowing into the next like water flowing over rocks, no matter what was in his way. So absorbed was she in watching his movements that she neglected to notice that each one brought him closer to her until his hands were on her and she was being lifted into the air.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she complied easily as he fit himself between her legs and laid her back against the cushions. Her eyelids slipped lower as she chewed on her lip, Mael’s teeth nipping at her throat and eliciting a quiet murmur of pleasure. With each touch, she twitched and shifted, one moment moving into him, then the next away from him to relieve pressure with a soft whimper. Under his gaze, she felt herself turning pink again, a shade to compliment the amber of her eyes and the ribbons still binding her hair.

Sometime later, perhaps in the middle of the night, Amber awoke, her back turned into the sofa cushions and her front cradled against Mael’s chest. In the darkness, she could hardly see anything other than the muscular curve of his torso, and the faintly illuminated halo of blonde hair tousled around his head and shoulders. Lifting her hand to stifle a quiet yawn, she drew it down through his hair and tenderly across the contours of his body. A soft smile graced her lips, and she dipped her head down, nuzzling under his chin. Very gently, she entwined her hand with his, curled up on the pillow next to her head, and laid back into the back cushions so that he had more room.

I’m glad you stayed…, she thought thankfully, closing her eyes and slowly allowing herself to drift off to sleep against him.

She half convinced herself, before dreaming of more pleasant things, that if every time he came home from a long trip this would be the result, she wouldn't mind as much. Then, with a pang, she remembered that the time spent away more than doubled the time spent together. Squeezing his hand a little tighter, though hopefully not enough to wake him up, she rescinded her act of scooting backwards and snuggled up closer to his warmth.

Mael dozed peacefully, dreaming of her feathered kisses across his chest and arms. He couldn't think of a more peaceful thing than holding her in his arms. One of his eyes batted open a little, looking down at the brown-haired, amber-eyed beauty at his side as he layed on the sofa. He squeezed her a little closer, and resolved that he would try to stay as long as he could, or at least keep his next vacation as short as he could manage. Perhaps take her along.

He kissed the top of her head, closing his eye and resolving inwardly to take her along next he went somewhere. He could no longer bear the absence of her touch, and he could protect her from anything, he would protect her from anything. There would be no repetitions of the past..not anymore.
